OSAEC-CSAEM Wakasan Kaligtasan at Karapatan ng Bata Ipaglaban

The 2025 National Children’s Month celebration highlights the importance of protecting children from online sexual abuse and exploitation. With the growing use of the internet and social media, children are more exposed to dangers that can threaten their safety and dignity. This year’s theme reminds us that children deserve a safe environment both online and offline where their rights are respected and protected.

The government plays an important role in protecting children through laws, programs, and enforcement against online sexual abuse and exploitation. Agencies such as the Department of Justice and the Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking work to investigate cases, punish offenders, and prevent the spread of child sexual abuse materials. These efforts show that the government is taking action to protect children’s safety and dignity in the digital world.

However, protecting children should not depend on the government alone. Parents, teachers, and communities must also guide children on responsible and safe internet use. Schools can help by teaching digital safety while parents should maintain open communication with their children about online risks. When everyone works together, children are better protected and more aware of their rights.

The National Children’s Month celebration reminds us that children’s rights should always be defended. Ending online sexual abuse and exploitation requires continuous action, awareness, and cooperation. By standing up for children’s safety and dignity, we help create a future where every child can grow without fear.
