TRAVEL BLOG: BANTAY

                                                  TRAVEL BLOG: BANTAY

We visited the St. Augustine Church, also known as the Bantay Church. The church looked old but very elegant, with its brick walls and peaceful atmosphere. When I entered, it felt quiet and sacred, and I took a moment to pray and thank God for the safe trip. The church is really memorable because it’s part of our history and shows the strong faith of the people in Ilocos. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel calm and thankful.

the Bantay Bell Tower in Bantay, Ilocos Sur. The place was calm and historical, and the view from the top was so pretty. You can see the mountains, the town, and even the nearby church. It was a bit tiring to climb up, but it was worth it because the scenery felt relaxing and peaceful. Standing there made me realize how beautiful and rich our culture is, and how the old structures are still strong even after so many years.

After visiting, we tried a local food called Ladek. It’s one of Bantay’s known dishes, and even though it’s not very common in other places, it actually tastes really good. The flavor is rich and savory, perfect with rice. Trying something new like that made our trip even more fun because we got to experience their culture not just through places but also through food.
